Hi There,

I wondered if you can help me, I have noticed that one of my oscars has developed nasty white spots over it's body. I have been researching on the internet and I can't work out if it's ICH or HITH.

I have attached a picture & I wondered if someone could tell me what the problem is. I have added salt to the tank & raised the temp.

Can you also advise of a suitable medicine that I could purchase.

No not ICH, try HITH. yours seems to have it everywhere. NOT GOOD!! I want you to ready this on HITH Hole in the head disease that wil effect the whole body too. I wish you did have ICH. YOU need to throughly clean the tank, the filter and possibley remove the gravel to help keep him from getting worse.
IF you test for NITRATES please do so and keep them under 20ppm. READ this and get the meds reccommened RIGHT away to help stop the spread.

How much salt did you add and the temp should not go over 82F (27.8C) IF you did not add in a lot, you need to do a 30% water change anyway, (see above) just don't add in any more salt to the change water..
