It appears that the convicts took all the fry and ate them. They have moved to another neon cave and are attacking me if I put my hand near it. Is it possible the female will spawn again within 4 days? If so i want to move them to the 10 gallon. Please IM me on AOL: Nissan Powered if you can offer some help

i heard that they would eat thier fry if they 're about to spawna again. maybe bcause of no space..iono

The parent convicts will move their fry around the tank. What you saw was the parents moving the fry, by putting them in their mouth. This is normal behavior. If they attacked your hand, then the fry are probably still around. There is no way the female is ready to spawn again in 4 days. If and when they have been eaten by the parents, don't be too upset, as convicts spawn every 2-3 weeks.

another piont is do you have underground filtter.if so the fry like to travel in and out of it there is plenty of protection and food so they will consist live batween the protect of there parents ant the under ground filter.convicts ARE mouth brewers and they probably did just move them.but to be honest pull the male soon as posible because latter he will eat them just so he can breed again,usauly after 4 weeks after the fry are born they start to become victums of canables.hey be luckey there not red devs or fire mouths males start eating them after 1st week.

If you get the chance to, take a peek inside the new location(cave/pot/etc.) that they are just now guarding like crazy and see if you can spot some squirmeys in there. More than likely they just transfered the fry to a new location either because A) They do that if they feel that their babies are threatned and B) They might have a little more room or a better flow of food & nutrients thru the new area. All in all, Convicts are Excellent parents and I think that they might just think that the new location is better for their youngins...good luck and let us know about the status of them, thanks!
