Green Severum breeding

Postby DCHouchin on Thu May 03, 2001 1:10 am

Today, May 2, 2001 after keeping fish for the last five years, I have a breeding pair of green severum who are at this moment guarding the eggs they laid today. Can anyone advise me as to hatching time, moving or not moving the brood and generally the mating particulars of this breed? They are in a 120 gallon community tank with a clown loach who seems very interested in the eggs, two brilliant jewel cichlids, an arowana, a lace cat, and tw polypterus, a congicus, and a palmus. I know I should move them, But what would be a minmal size incubator tank? The eggs have been laid on a large piece of driftwood which I will have to remove in a bucket. I will also need to do a water change to get som starter water for my incubation tank. What are the dangers to the eggs in this process? All and any advice is appreciated.
