Funny oscar story

Right now I am keeping two tanks in my room; a 55 gallon tank and a 40 gallon pond thing. The tank is usually occupied by 2 oscars, one immature JD, and three plecos. The last 4 residents were moved to the pond due to spawning activities but then the JD was moved back to the tank because he was refusing to eat and spawning ceased to happen. Two small oscars were kidnapped and put into the pond because their owner was neglecting their water quality. Anyway the two fishnapped oscars weren't eatting so they were added to the big tank. The large male oscar decided to try to eat the two small oscars even though they were larger than his buddy the JD and the normally quiet JD proceeded to attemp homicide( it has lived with small goldfish and never bothered them). The large male oscar and the JD are now in time out in the pond.

1.)I made a 40 gallon pond out of a rubbermaid container.2.)I put my plecos and little JD in it when the big oscars were trying to spawn.3.)I took the little JD back out, when the oscars stopped trying to spawn, and put him in the big tank again.4.)My boyfriend and I stole our friends baby oscars because their water was dirty and put them in out pond.5.)They wouldn't eat in the pond so we put them in the big tank.6.)The normally passive JD (who has had a goldfish and an East Indian glassfish as tankmates)began attempting to kill the baby oscars and 7.)my large male oscar decided that they looked like food and tried to inhale them(even though they are 4" long).8.)so my boyfriend caught the big male oscar and then proceeded to drop him in my shoes while transferring him to the 40 gallon pond.9.)Then he put the JD in the pond.10.)Then the male oscar proceeded to pout under the filter intake for his entire afternoon in the "time out tank".The female looked for him all afternoon and is totally offended if the little oscars eat with her.Right now all 5 cichlids are chasing eachother around the big tank.A little cichlid malee!

Pretty funny, so I take it most of the stuff in your room is "water-proof" Image

Well at least my shoes are Image Oh after I reunited the big oscars they started being semi-lovey again so maybe they'll get their act together and lay some eggs!I think the little oscars are going home today anyway so there won't be any little brats to disturb them Image
