If you are having trouble with your fish, post some specific questions, in the Emergency section.

probley getting the medication wrong, adding a bacterial solution to a parasite problem will do nothing... another problem with medication is that it seriously reduces oxygen levels in the water, combine that with the stress of the illness it really wil finish off even the toughest fish...

i oncegave my mate a black moor from my pond, which then developed a bacteria due to my filter breaking. the moor took the illness to his gold fish tank, it demolished his entire stock. he didnt know what the illness was, nor did i so he got some parastie illness (as the fish where gasping)

after all my pond and his tank died everything returned to normal, i managed to save a huge goldfish at the last moment when i found out what the illbness was and had the money tobuy the medication.

my mate lost everything, except the black moor, the one that initially introduced the sickness. good too see fancy goldfish holding their own. lol

Before you go out and buy expensive medications try salt. It is known to kill 7 out of nine parasites, and also is a lot friendlier to the bacteria that break down fish wastes.

Make sure it has no Iodine in it though as this will kill the fish.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kosher salt, Sea Salt, Non-Iodized Table, Rock and Ice Cream Salts are acceptable. Do not use salt intended for livestock if it contains any minerals or trace elements.

Caution! No YPS or Yellow Prussiate of Soda should be in the salt. Prussic Acid is hazardous to fish because it dissociates into Prussic Acid in water
