hello forum, i have a ?, i have a 30 gallon tank with 2 AC 200 , i read somewhere that you could remove the carbon bag and use another sponge insted ,is it ok to do that and what would be the reason for doing it , as for the fish i have in the tank they are a 3 inch green terror and a 6 inch pleco ........... ty

you can remove and replace and media for a filter. its probably smarter to take out the carbon anyways. 2 sponges are better(my opinion) cuz you get double the biological and mechanical filtration. your really shouldnt rely on chemcial filtration unless you have to take care of some meds.
