I have a filter it's an aqua clear power fiter on my 35 gal in my once community tank, my oscars did survive the ph drop. I thought they where dead the way they where laying on the bottom. I am going to fix the 55 gal, but I need to know if an aqua clear power filter is enough for two messy oscars. it is made for a 50-70 gal any help/suggestions will be appreciated thank you

What type of aqua clear. A quick rule of thumb for filtering for Oscars is you need a gallon per hour rate of 10x the tank volume for Hang on Back type filters, or a 5x rate for a canister type. So you need a rate of 550 gph for the aquaclear. Personally I had algea trouble with mine, so I switched over to aquatechs, now I have whispers, which I do find quieter.
