filter question

Postby Craig on Sun Dec 19, 2004 5:55 am

Sorry, im english.

right, in the UK i cant find a clip on external power filter anywhere.

So i got to wondering, i have a "Fluval 304 MSF Canister Filter" (a differant design to the one on sale in the US apparently, but thats what it says on the box) and it says, "suitable for 55 - 70 gal"

however, what makes them so much more expensive then the 330 Penguin Bio-Wheel Filter?

and what are the benefits of each type?

any help would be great

cheers

filter question

I think its all about the media inside matey, ive not seen a filter that works the way a fluvel does.

My dad has the same filter you have and i think its all about the customisability that you can have for your media.

IE instead of using foam pads and such that other filters use the fluvel hsa the three differant levels for 2 types of media.

Plus i think i read somewhere once that the fluvel filters have a special way of aeriating the water, somewhere in the fluvel book.

Thats my 2 pnce mate :)

Oh and do what i did mate, find a place that will ship overseas, look for my thread in this forum called penguin bio wheel filter :)
