Pommies, poms, pom etc is just a name we give the English people of Britain. Some poms do not like the name and take offence at it, we call them Whinging Poms :D

Its all in good fun LOL. :)

Steve Irwin?? Oh you mean the Crocodile Wanker er hunter :D

Yeah its pretty much G`day. I dont think Ive ever been greeted with "Wassup"(except in the CF and WC chat rooms) its either G`day, howzit going mate or sometimes a plain Hello.

Ive spoken to some californians(In voice chat on Paltalk) who claim they dont have an accent but while there accents are not as strong as southerners etc they still have one lol.

hahahaha speak for yourselves! i often greet people with WAZZZZUUUUPPPP!!!!!! as for the californian accent being the "standard" accent, i would have thought that the well-spoken english accent was the "standard" accent - they invented the language, after all

meng...over here in california...we have all different kinds of greetings..... the language is easy to understand...cus its universal =]

its like that because the people living here are so diverse....we have many asians and mexicans...so everyone speaks so differently...that they all become one standard accent....pretty weird.

i said "g'day mate" to my teacher at school today and she said i was a weirdo....lol
