the female looks like she is about to burst... how come no eggs?

you do have a male in there right? what have you been feeding it? feed it some meat or small goldfish or something....

I can slip some meat in there... their mouths are too small for goldfish, I have been trying to get them to eat some guppies, but the O is a vacuum.

I am raising Oscars but a friend of mine has convicts and he was telling me that if there aren't any males one of them will change sexes. I don't know the total validity of this but he sounded sure of it.

do you happen to have a clay pot or a cave in the tank so they can lay the eggs along them they need that or else they won't do it

hey ive raised vics for years sex them first dose the bloated one have orange on the stomache those would be your females males usualy have a blue streak on there dorsel fin if there redy to breed.if you want a good luth feed them blood worm or better yet feed them earth worms or night crawlers.
and no convicts cannot biologicly turn sexes thats just a mistake.
if the bloated is not the female then your convict has a daseas that is usualy caused buy somthind pairasitic in wich case treat asap because blooting is a sign of bowl faileir and can kill your fish at any time.
