Hello, My name is Jerome. Ihave a pair of convicts, Male 5 " inches & female 2" inches. My Female is Spawning. Every website that I have went to tells me females spawn when there stomach turning orange. I had my pair in the same tank for about 3 weeks. My female would stay in her cave and my male would dug a hole in the rocks and staying in the hole in the corner. Whenever my female come from under her rock my male would chase her . He has been eatting away at her tail until its almost gone. Is that normal? Finally I had to seperate my pair. My male is in a 29 gallon and my female is in a 10 gallon. M y femlae is doing doing better now her tail is growing back. How can I tell when they pair up? Do you think I need to buy another pair?
