In my convict tank the other day I noticed they have dug away the rocks on the bottom of the tank piling them into a corner and also there was small peach colored type eggs (I think) on the ground. Are these eggs? If so I don't think they are fertile because I am almost 100% sure my convicts are both females. I have a reg. striped one and a pink convict, both have the ornge on the tummy. Any input? Could I be wrong with the sex?

hmm...if they dont hatch in like a week, or if the convicts are eating them, then they arent furtile. they are eggs though. you can tell if they are infurtile if the eggs start turning whitish.

Hummm, I've seen males with a little orange but it was hardly noticable, until they were older, like almost 4 yrs old. Nothing even close to a "patch" which is the characteristic of the female. All I can say is that keep and eye on them and if you know for a definety fact that they are two females and the eggs do hatch and all, call guiness, no joking, but I would like to see a pic of them if at all possible, not sure if you have a dig camera or a scanner of the sort, well let us know the status of the eggs, and as mentioned before, if they turn white or they get eaten, more than likely they are 2 females and were just a little confused I guess...not that theres anything wrong with that!!!
