IT SOUNDS TO ME THAT YOU GOT A GOOD PAIR SO FAR. YES SLAPPING TAILS AND GILL FLARING IS OUIT NORMAL. ONE THING TO REMEMBER IS TO CREATE A GOOD SPAWNING SIGHT.I SUGGEST A MEDIUM SIZE CLAY POT PUT ON IT'S SIDE IN THE CORNER OF THE TANK. ALSO READ AS MUCH AS YOU CAN,KNOWLEDGE IS POWER....I BREED ANGELFISH AND OSCARS....I'M PAIRING SOME OSCARS UP RIGHT NOW AND THEY ARE DOING THE SAME THING AS WHAT YOUR CONVICTS ARE DOING..BE PATIENT AND SOON YOU WILL NEED A NURSERY OF OTHER TANKS FOR THOSE NEW FRY....IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS E-MAIL IS ROMATB@AOL.COM ..........ENJOY FROM COLUMBUS, OHIOOriginally posted by captainwes:
