Condsidering a business license to be able to purchase wholesale, Need advice.

While trying to order a 180 gal tank from one of the supermarket type lfs'in town, they came back and jacked the price close to $100. claiming it was because they had to special order it.
Well being somewhat pro-active, I contacted the supplier and was told that was total B.S.
That in fact, them placing a special order of that size would probably put them into a discount bracket... nice..
Well that left a pretty bad taste in my mouth, not to mention that they wanted me to pay in full prior to them placing the order. I had offered a deposit that "only a fool would walk away from"...
Well the supplier suggested that I consider getting a business license as a breeder and they would sell to me directly...
Well, when you consider the tank, 3 AC500's, 2-300 watt heaters, and 2-36" twin tube light strips, the savings are quite substantial.. and they'll deliver right to my front door...
My wife looked into the State and County requirments for getting a license, and we're talking about $60.
My question is this,,,,
In the event that I successfully bread my O's, would I be able to walk into a lfs, show them my license and be able to do business with them, or is there a board that I'd have to register with, such as someone breading dogs would register with AKC???
Also, I'm sure there would be a 'user' tax I'd have to pay, since I'm not reselling the equipment I"m purchasing....
If anyone has any experience in this area, your help is much appreciated.

Thanks
Jim.

I have a business license to buy wholesale, was for computer business so I'm not sure if that means I can buy anything wholesale. But it's cool and don't buy anything with it anymore because it was a pain remembering what I bought with it etc...and doing the paperwork every 3 months/ once a year. yearly city fee is around $120 or something like that. I don't think you can go into an LFS and buy from them. The Mom&Pop ones, small asian stores etc...could care less about the license because they want to deal in cash, the big chains just won't do it because of "protocol".....rules from up-high etc...you could try anyway though or go ask some before making the license, i'm curious, mind telling us what's that company that you plan on buying the aquarium from ? the wholesale one not the guys who tried to rip you off....

I personally would like to know what company tried ripping you off -- I'll be sure to avoid them, if at all possible!
