i just got a used acrylic tank that has been without fish and water for atleast 3 weeks, whats the best way to clean it without scratching it more

Go to your LFS and look in their cleaning supply section you should find 2 types of scrubby pads, one for glass and one for acrylic. The acrylic one is softer and wont scratch, then just use it with either diluted dish soap or bleach to clean the tank, and rinse like there is no tomorrow.

mr.soft-sponge or ms.sock is always our friend. however, mr.steel-wool is not
