I wish I could get on this one but it's not going to happen! Can't download the required program I need to get to the chat room. Sorry guys I tried but it's not going to happen. It's my computer.Once in a while at petsfish@aol.com to see if other people need help at some problem I might be able to answer but not very often as the usual question is about saltwater or betas.

Hi Chuck,

I'm a little confused because the chatrooms on my website should work "assuming" you have a web browser that can handle JAVA APPLETS. Have you tried using Netscape Communicator instead of the AOL browser? Ever used IRC? If you download MIRC, an irc program and join server http://www.cichlidfish.com you can get to the same chatroom thatway by joining room #cichlidfish. Much easier to just use a JAVA enabled browser though and go to it through the website.

See that's just it...I can't download JAVA onto the computer or any other programs! All I have is AOL...yea I know Sucks...

Hi Chuck,

If you can't Download programs from the internet using your AOL you must have a VERY VERY OLD version of Aol! From what I remember, I last used version 3.0 of AOL that a friend of mine had and I was able to minimize AOL and use netscape or any other program on my computer, I could use FTP or any internet program and I could download programs no problem. And I know that the latest version of AOL now is AT LEAST 4.0 maybe higher. So please check your version. Anyone ELSE reading this have AOL for their Internet Access? I can install an HTML version of a chat room problem is it's not as realtime as the java one. I just know there has to be a way to get things working for you. SEND me an email to webmaster@cichlidfish.com and I can email you specific instructions on what you can try to download things with Aol etc. Like I said i'm not giving up on you
