I have a featherfin catfish that hides in the corner behind my power filter any tips about getting him to come out and swim more would be appreciated.It is also in a tank with african cichlids but they dont touch him.

i think theyre nocturnal... probably have to turn off the light, or wait until dark to see him properly. You could try weighting down some washed piece of zucchini at the front of you tank. Just something to munch on, may attract him.
