After the difficulties I have had with my tanks and after loosing my convicts, I recieved a call from my local fish store, another customer had gone in with a pair of breeding white convicts, he had also tried to take in the fry but the shop keeper refused to take the fry, however they took the convicts and then called me to tell me that they had a present for me, yep the white convicts! How nice was that! I have put them in my small tank 22 gallon, the convicts are almost 2inches. I have built them a cave which is a piece of slate on top of some driftwood, the convicts stayed in there for approx 2days refusing to come out, but today they are taking it in turns to come out and stay infront of the cave whilst the other remains inside the cave. I am wondering if they have laid eggs, would I be able to lift the slate and check or would this cause them to eat the eggs?
