Oh Boy!!! Although I had hoped that one day I might be rewarded for following all the rules of aquarium keeping by having my fish (severums) actually court, pair off, and produce fry....I wasn't prepared for the brutality of they're ritual...even having read up on it! The swimming around and around like crazed whirling dervishes....and the lip locking and subsequent tug of war all over the entire 100 gallons....actually it scared the crap out of me! And now they're "taking a breather"...one on one side and one on the other....what does that mean???? Is "the engagement" OFF??? Will this show of might turn into anything...possibly producing more cichlid life??? Should I be doing "something else"? HELP!!!what!?
