Big drift wood

I just added (3 months ago) a 2 1/2-3' piece of drift wood to the 120 gal. I posted a picture of it tonight give me your thoughts. To big, to small, just plain ugly. I'll post a full tank shot another day and let you guys tell me what (if anything) the tank still might need.

Looks pretty good to me...I think it'll look particularly sweet when you paint it, especially if you paint it to match the color scheme of the tank. Keep us posted on it...I want to see a picture of the finished product, after water and fish...Its lookin' good so far, though, in my entirely untrained eye.

Ypu think I should paint my driftwood? I'm talking about that huge piece I put in my existing 120 gal. If your talking about the stand I'm building it's not getting painted it's getting covered in gray stone. It will look like a cave when I get done (I hope).

Really though, does anybody REALLY have a trained eye for anything. I have a hard enough time gettin' both of mine to look in the same direction. :D

i thought the drirt wood added a nice piece to the tank and it lookes great the way it is, but that is just my opion. i like things to look natrual. well for my oscars tank at least. i found out they dont like colored stuff all that well, yours could love it. and the stone idea sounds really neat, giving me some ideas of what i can do to my stand. i like caves and that sounds like a fun project.

I like it a lot, especially against the black gravel.

Thank you guys for the responces. That makes me feel I did the right thing. I found that piece just walking along the river, now I go out just to find new pieces for other tanks or for friends tanks. No money involved my kind of decor.
