What kind of salt can i use if I cant get aquarium salt.The local lfs puts table salt in there tanks,is table salt good for it.How often would I have to put the salt in the tank?

dont use table salt use cooking salt yes there is a difference, u can get cooking salt at the grocery store, and still only use 1 tbs/10 gallons. good luck

if you're just going to have livebearers, i wouldnt add any salt.. they do fine without it. but, if you have to, dont get any salt with chemicals or additives like iodine. rock salt works good too. remember that salt doesnt evaporate

yeah table salt has often been ionised, and usually has additives, often labelled "anti caking agent". Is no good. If you can't get aquarium salt, get rock salt, the kind that gets put in a salt grinder, or salt flakes (sea salt).
