Does anybody know any really good 4 wheel drive gas powered cars that have good ground clearance and shock travel. I would be interested in building my own from a kit also.

Yea, the electric version is cool too....don't know about the two-wheel driver version. The electric one has two electric motors I think...also there's HPI and team associated, team losi etc....different manufacturers. If you're not into organized competition you might be interested in the 1/8th scale like duratrax Axis etc...

You can get the 1/8th scale duratrax axis for about $350 I think. I think it even comes with remote and ready to run....you can always take it apart to clean it etc...to learn...if you don't plan on going to a lot of organized races I would recommend that for you. If you plan to race, I think most races are for two wheel drive buggy's for offroad and two wheel drive touring cars, ie street tires etc...

And yea I think you should be able to get the new T-maxx with the larger 2.5 engine for about $400 also, not sure if remote would be included though.
